You will find on our site many examples of properties on offer through our agents in the region with pictures and short descriptions. However, these necessarily give only a limited perspective of the property in question since much also depends upon situation, ambience and other factors essentially subjective in character. Only a visit will determine whether a particular place is really what you are looking for.
Furthermore, our experience over nearly 10 years firmly shows that the majority of clients purchase a property materially different from that they started out believing they actually wanted!
This is not due to our agent's magical powers of persuasion and salesmanship - in fact any attempt to 'lead' a client in a direction he or she is reluctant to take will always fail in its objective. It is simply a matter of assimilation and chemistry.
First you have to witness at first hand location & setting - paramount considerations in any decision-making process. Secondly, the place has to "work" for you. It doesn't matter at the end of the day how enthusiastic others are about a particular property if you don't like it. Our agents are often asked by overseas clients to show a particular property to a 'friend' in the locality. This we will arrange if requested, but somewhat reluctantly. Reason - properties in the region differ widely in character and ambiance - they are not identical rows of modern holiday homes or time-share apartments. Consequently, no third party, however close to the principal they are representing can ever put themselves fully in that person's position in judging the merits of the place concerned. That's a fact.
So, when you complete our Client Requirement Form we are not going to post you lots of pretty pictures of specific properties. Instead we'll send you material and information about the region, help on planning your visit, and undivided professional attention. When our agents have found you the ideal place, we'll give you first-hand instruction on the processes involved and the procedures to be followed in completing the purchase. And we'll still be on call if you need assistance after the ink has dried on the contract and you are the owner of a home in the Languedoc.
